Katie Hurdon

Katie has been gracing Ontario and Quebec stages for over a decade. Katie currently leads Trouble Clef jazz quartet and sings harmony, plays ukulele and shakes, rattles and pings various instruments with the folk-country outfit Paug Lake Road.

Her voice and performance style are undeniably unique and compellingly magnetic. On stage she creates a world that doesn’t give it all away, but rather invites you in for tea and whiskey. In her voice you can catch a wisp of smoke, the warmth of your favourite sweater, a few diamonds for clarity, and the glimmer of a brewing thunderstorm.

Whether it be small venues, large venues, dinner crowds, quiet crowds, or rowdy crowds, Katie entrances audiences of all descriptions.

Paug Lake Road

Paug Lake

Folk, funk, country bluegrass and straight up driving pop, this crowd pleasing multifaceted band from Ottawa, Ontario is all of these and more. Banjo-picking, three part harmonizing Paug Lake Road defies easy categorization. Care-worn but hopeful narratives come crafted around string picked melodies and hooks that irresistibly call to mind flat-bed trucks, open plains and dirt roads, while their live show generates so much exuberant energy that you will be tapping your feet and laughing before you know it.
